PE Takes on Geelong
The Mighty Barn doors ventured down to Geelong knowing that a loss or draw would destroy the dream of playing finals in consecutive years. And being 3 – 0 nil up at half time, things were looking good with Al, Bluey and Schwarta “doing the business”.But a joint brain implosion and the introduction of Geelong of their Ghana international, saw the scores equal at 3-3 at the 24 min mark.
Thanks to a great solo effort from Matt Gale and a late lazy goal to Starkey, Kew took the points with a 5 – 3 victory, leaving them 4 points clear with two games to go.
