The pressure is on
Finals start a week early for the connect 4′sWith two rounds to go and one win needed to seal a finals spot, enthusiasm was high at the home of hockey on national ‘kew teams at elgar’ day.
Within seconds we were up 1-0 and looking very good to seal a top four spot at the home of hockey (meaning we didn’t have to rely on victory at the home of domestic disturbances, springvale, in the final round).
However, as is too often the case, the second placed Tem’s managed to draw level immediately after the break and the arm wrestle continued. Two quick goals from the opposition almost put the result beyond doubt, but to our credit we fought it out and scored a late goal via pat to ensure we were always in it.
A tough test next week to ensure some September action (on the hockey field…)
