Metro 3 South v Mentone
Women’s Metro 3 South is mainly made up of juniors and students, and is coached by Mathew Morrow.Round 1 we played Mentone Girls at their ground and the K.E.W. team consisted of only 9 players with no G.K.
This was a big ask for the team.Our girls took a little time to settle but at half time the scores were K.E.W. 2 and Mentone 1.
During the second half the scores were level but nearing the end of the game K.E.W. scored, giving us a win of 4 to 3. Jessica Wilson scored the 4 goals.
The team is to be congratulated going into a game with only 9 players and winning. Every player gave 100%.
