Nigel Hugget Shield

Form Joey Hassall:

This week at Vets is a very special event.  KEW’s A Grade Vets are playing against Camberwell and – for the first time – we will be playing for the Nigel Hugget Shield.  The game is at Elgar Park at 8.00pm on Monday night 2 June 2008.Nigel was a Kew player from juniors through to Vets, an absolute gentlemen and mate to most of our current Vets list.  He also had a close link to Camberwell HC from High school friendships, and through his children’s hockey.  To honour Nigel in this way is fitting memorial to a fantastic bloke.  I understand Nigel’s wife and kids will attend the game to make the presentation.

It would be great for all everyone who knew Nigel to get to Elgar to cheer the elder Kew boys, and to honour our great friend.
