Womens M1N v Southern United
On a cold Saturday afternoon with the treat of rain the T-Birds took on Southern United at Moorabbin.
Both teams came out fast eager to keep warm, which resulted in a tight contest. Fi put her body on the line even using her head to stop the ball. A fast break by Southern early in the match broke through the defence and resulted in the first goal of the match.
The T-Birds fought to level the scores and were awarded with numerous short corners however were unable to convert them.
At half time we were 1 nil down.
The T’Birds continued to dominate the game however this was not reflected on the score board. In the last minute of the game one last forward assault enabled Nicola to score the equaliser.
