Men’s PC v Monash (R2)
On a day that argued hockey should be a summer sport Monash came out swinging and put immense pressure on a backline including Ben Johnson, Bill Allen and Joey Hassle. Defending well with some suspect hamstrings, Kew went into half time in touch 0-1 down.
The boys showed true courage to get up off the mat and respond with a much improved second half earning a very hard fought draw that could have even been 3 points against a fitter and very determined Monash seconds team. An inspirational lift from Kim Swartz ensured selections will be tough again this week. Thank you to those that helped out.
Two weeks, two draws… and 13 guys wanting to sing Cumberland.
