Kew 2 drew Monash 2
The Kew boys traveled to the outskirts of Melbourne to take on the university lads at Monash. The team showed signs of improvement in the second match of year, with good ball movement at times. A lapse in concentration resulted in two relatively soft goals and put the Kew boys behind 2-0 at the break.
The second half was much like the first, with Kew having most of the possession with little reward until a reshuffle of the midfield and a stoush that left one fullback watching the game behind the goal. A quick fire two goals in the last 20 minutes of the game brought the game level and that’s where the match ended.
