Women’s PB v Altona (R6)
Playing the top team in Altona on a late Saturday night was always going to be hard. We came out wanting to win and kept the ball in our 25 for a decent amount of time but then the onslaught, 2 easy goals Altona’s way didn’t help the cause. Tina had a clash of heads with an Altona player and Hans came out to help her off the field. The team battled on and went into half time 2-0 down.
The second half saw us get some short corners and be more attacking this meant Lucy was able to slot one in. This spurred on the drunken Altona crowd and the Altona team got more fired up. Looking forward to next week when we don’t play the top teams.
