Obituary – Cedric Candy
Members of the KEW Hockey Club are deeply saddened by the passing of Cedric Candy, who died on Saturday, 13 June 2009.
Cedric held various positions within the Club, including President during the 1950’s, with his involvement in the Club stretching as far back as 1925. Cedric was subsequently honoured with Life Membership for his services to the Club, which was again celebrated when he was a guest at the Centenary Dinner in 2004. Cedric was a sprightly old chap and certainly enjoyed coming to the dinner and the standing ovation we gave each Life Member on the night.
Cedric’s funeral was held at Tobin Brothers Mount Martha Chapel, on Monday, 22 June 2009.
