Men’s PE v Footscray (R9)
With 2 straight defeats the mighty fours had slipped to sixth on the ladder. The task of facing second placed Footscray was indeed daunting.
With Jason “Mario” Gregory returning from injury sustained in last years Preliminary final and Jake Kimber Bear and Robbie Down back from working at the Lucky Cock (truly) the old line up was looking refreshed.
Alas, two goals down and it seemed nothing had changed from the previous two weeks. But after settling, David Kahanoff slammed in a rocket from a Short Corner and the game changed.
Switching the ball around from Rob and Cracka down back with Pommy Dan and Uncle Kim finally working together, Footscray couldn’t control the rampaging Cumbers.
Field Goals to: Steve, Kieren and Kim sealed the deal with a hard fought 4 – 3 win.
A great fightback Kew boys, lets hope a win next week with a well earned break coming!!!!
