M1E Kew vs Southern

After an intense training session, the team was determined to avoid the club pattern of failing the week after a break. With the novelty of having a bench 3 strong, we were able to have fowards put in the hard yards to then be rested. The Roberts boys and Capitan / Coach Macca were solid up forward, linking up well with the mid fielders lead by Keamy. We had Pete Dabner on loan from the Sopranos who was a great help in getting the ball out of danger.
At the halftime the game was still alive and despite making a comeback against Southern last time, we reassured that this was no certainty to happen again. We would need to make it happen. Unfortunately the 2nd Half was way too familar. A big effort put in for little reward while the opposition were able to score easily.
Next week we face the 2nd placed Old Xavs, Sunday 3:30 @ Elgar Park
