Women’s PB v Mentone (R14)
This week the 2′s played the top team on the ladder, with the bare 11 and a few sickies amongst the team, it was a tough game.
Mentone came out firing and scored 3 goals in the first half. One goal was scored after it was raised at people’s heads and Kew decided to keep their sticks below their shoulders so they didn’t receive a card but then Mentone put it in at left post so this left us struck for words and we were let staring at the umpire’s wondering if they were watching the game.
The second half was much better, Hans had lots to say at half time and gave us some things to work on which i think we did quite well, we managed to keep Mentone at bay and team fought hard. We were awarded a stoke, no one wanted to take it so Chels stepped up to the spot and put it towards the bottom right and the goalie saved it so that was no fun at all!!
One more goal by Mentone and Alyson was once again taken out at the knees and the game finished thankfully!
