Men’s SL2 v Yarra (R16)

Kew 6 – Yarra 5

Continuing the strong second half of the year Kew remains undefeated.

On the weekend we were involved in a shoot out with a team trying to avoid relegation.

With a strong first half Kew went into the halftime break leading 4 – 1, solid performances from JC, Doe and Zinger Burger (German) were encouraging

A congratulations to Ben Hyatt who was selected for his first game of the year.

Second half was disappointing as we allowed Yarra back into the game with some poor decision making, a game ending injury to the Zinger added more pressure to our structure as Patty was suffering from knee soreness and had to run out the game on one leg.

A late goal from the new kid on the block Ben Hyatt was the match winner.

Goals:
Sam Scott (1)
Peter Bunting (2)
Ben Hyatt (1)
Daniel Chang (1)
Zinger Burger (1)

Positives:
-       Goal Shots created
-       Ability to link 4 – 5 passes through the midfield.
-       Communication (first half)

Negatives:
-       Goal Shot conversion
-       Defensive structure (2nd Half)
-       Goals against

As a squad we are looking forward to the challenge this week against the warriors, they are a team we lost to earlier in the year.

A win this week puts us in a strong position to hold forth spot and make the finals.
