Tidings of comfort and joy

Cumbers,

Tidings of comfort and joy.

Thank you to all members and friends of Kew for a successful and thoroughly enjoyable year at the club. On-field successes have been matched by healthy administrative growth. And while our much loved club rooms are temporarily without a roof, restoration and plans for regeneration are in place.

For many juniors and seniors the year finished on a high over the weekend with an early Christmas present in the form of training sessions with the world’s best player, Jamie Dwyer and the Kookaburras captain, Mark Knowles – both members of the victorious Australian Champions Trophy team. It was a truly memorable experience for those involved (and some of the parents too) and much thanks should be heaped on Lachie Walmsley for initiating and organising the sessions.

I bring you early notice too of next year’s AGM; to be held at the Harp Hotel, Thursday 4th February 2010 at 7.30pm. Members and stakeholders are encouraged to attend. Further notice and agenda will be sent in the new year.

Wishing you all a safe and happy Christmas. Enjoy each others company at the various Christmas celebrations and I look forward to seeing you all in the new year.

Yours festively,

Hugh Taggart
