Womens M2S v ECHO (R1)
Women’s 4′s – Saturday 5pm vs ECHO
With a very new team from last year, we traveled to the Waverley Ground to do battle with ECHO.
We hit the first goal in the first few minutes and for a time we looked to be holding our own but the ECHO team always came back very strong. At the half time break they had hit 3 goals and Kew 1. We stayed with them in the second half with each team putting 2 goals in the net.
The game ended with ECHO 5 goals and Kew 3 goals.
Goal scorers for Kew were one each to Rose Bijlard, Mel Hovenden and Elishka Marvan.
In the team were two girls from the under 15 team. This was their first senior game and they played very well. Lauren Bleakley played left half and Emily Morgan-elliss played centre. We hope they will continue playing with us for the rest of the season.
Felicity McCall-Wolf, who is a member of the women’s vets team, played left back and was always very solid in defence
